Privacy Policy
1. Your photos stay on your device
All editing — opening images, applying filters, drawing, collages, webcam capture and exporting — happens inside your browser using your device's own processor. Photogramio does not upload, transmit, store or have any access to the images, videos or projects you work on.
2. Data stored in your browser
To make the app useful, some data is kept locally on your device only:
- Projects and autosaves — saved in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) so you can continue where you left off.
- Preferences — such as theme (light/dark) and interface language.
This data never leaves your browser. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website.
3. No accounts
- No registration or login is required or offered.
- We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses or any other personal details.
- Exported images have their metadata (EXIF, GPS location) stripped automatically.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used overall — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from and what kinds of devices they use. For this, Google sets cookies and receives technical data such as your (truncated) IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you view.
Analytics measures page visits only: it has no access to your photos, edits, projects or anything you create in the app. You can opt out with your browser's tracking protection, a content blocker, or Google's own opt-out add-on — the app keeps working normally either way.
5. Third-party resources
A small number of optional features fetch static resources from third parties:
- Google Fonts — font files are downloaded when you use the text tools. Google may log the technical details of that download (such as your IP address) as described in their own privacy policy.
- AI background effects (Webcam Effects) — a one-time ~3 MB segmentation model is downloaded from a content delivery network. The model then runs entirely on your device; no camera data is ever sent anywhere.
These requests transfer no image data — they only download static files.
6. Camera and microphone
Webcam Effects asks your browser for camera (and optionally microphone) permission. The stream is processed locally and shown only to you; recordings and snapshots are saved to your device when you download them. You can revoke the permission in your browser at any time.
7. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Because the core design is local-only processing, any future change will keep that principle.
